Mess Near Dasman Complex

I was passing near Dasman complex in kuwait city and I noticed this mess , there was like 6 ambulance cars, and many Police cars and more than 10 Fire fighting large cars, I couldn’t know the reason, because I hate to stop and delay the traffic or the rescue movement, I wish every one in that site was rescued .. God bless all.

I’m posting this through my mobile. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The James “Bondic” Flame Shooting Scooter !

Flame Shooting Scooter

“It’s a lot of fun and firing the flames makes me feel like James Bond”  Said the 30 years old man who invented the 15ft flames shooting scooter.

Colin Furze equipped his 60mph bike with a rear-facing flamethrower because he was fed up with drivers cutting him up.

It works by pressing a button on the handlebar.

“The flames are pretty big and up to 15ft long so you could definitely set fire to someone’s car if you wanted to, The only problem is it can get rather hot if you are riding the moped and blast the flames when the wind is in the wrong direction.” he added !

Reviewing Dubai !

Burj Khalifa

Dubai has been my favorite short escape destinations for almost a decade  , For several reasons , first of all it takes only 2 hours to be there , secondly there are more than 10 daily flights to Dubai and finally the city has Gazzillion of different places to visit with millions of activities to do ..

Introduction :

Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the UAE. It is located south of the Arabian Gulf . Dubai existed at least 150 years prior to the formation of the UAE. Dubai has the largest population and is the second-largest emirate by area, after Abu Dhabi .

Dubai has attracted world attention through many innovative large construction projects . This increased attention, coinciding with its emergence as a business hub,  which is competing with its Asian peers Hong Kong , Malaysia and Singapore .

Lately Dubai was the city to visit for tourists from all over the world , and that was simply because the city has everything tourism needs , whether it was snow skiing or Desert safari trips ! a walk in the heritage market or shopping  in one of the trendiest malls in the world , Beaches and tropical breeze or garbing cup of coffee in a busy business city .. Dubai has it all !

Important notes:

  • Currency: Dirhams
  • Visa: visa is not needed for Gulf Council Countries citizens , however those who are not GCC citizens can get their Visa’s from Dubai airport within few minutes 🙂
  • Aljazeera airways , Wataniya Airways , Emirates Airlines and kuwait airways all have direct flights to Dubai International Airport , The tickets pricing could vary from 18 to 60 K.D for an economy class seat.

Go there For :

Dubai is my favorite short escape destination , and it beats most of its competitors in the regions when it comes to total valuation of the city , the only bad thing in Dubai is the humidity in summer as it gets to unbelievable scales !

in summer time the best thing to enjoy in Dubai is beach clubs and water sports activities in the morning , while in the evening you should only think of indoor dining or shopping .

Plastik Beach Club

In winter times , there are many options for outdoors activities , lounges , cafes and shopping areas .

JBR Walk

Don’t miss:

  1. Jet boat trips all around The palm project and the world project , can be taken from Marina , it cost 200 Dirhams per person.
  2. Desert Safari Can be arranged by any hotel concierge.
  3. Zuma Restaurant (Lounge Area) for reservations check
  4. Plastik Beach Club .
  5. Cavali Club.
  6. Souq al bahar outdoor cafes (facing burj khalifa’s fountain)
  7. Madinat Jumaira outdoor cafes , specially (Centimetro) in the roof .
  8. JBR Walk (out-door walk with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops) Cafe Di Roma should be a stop there .
  9. Dubai Mall.
  10. Emirates Mall Ski Track.
  11. Horizon Beach Club.
  12. Swim with the Dolphins at Atlantis Hotel.
  13. A visit to Dubai heritage market
  14. Madinat Jumaira Abra ride.
  15. Dubai creek.

When to go:

For summer activities May/June would be fine , as the humidity wouldn’t be so high.

in my opinion the best time to be there is between December and February the weather will be exceptional.

Where to stay :

Low Budget Summer Time:

Nouran Marina residents would be convenient as its only 10 minutes away from “JBR Walk”  on average booking a two bedroom serviced apartment will cost 400-500 Dirhams/night through

High Budget Summer Time:

Ritz Carliton Jumaira has great facilities with a private beach and 3 different huge pools. As you get out of the hotel you will find your self in JBR walk surounded by dozens of restaurants and Cafes. a delux room would cost around 1800 Dirhams/night through

Low Budget Winter:

Almanzil Hotel in Dubai old town district , near Burj Khaleefa is a fantastic place to stay , it will take you 10 minutes to walk to dubai mall and souq albahar surroundings . A Delux room will cost something around 400 Dirhams/Night through

High Budget Winter:

The Address hotel in Dubai old Town District , Facing Burj Khalifa , One minute walk distance to Dubai mall .. it will cost something around 1800 Dirhams/night for a Double room through

Movies and Cartoons !

Decades Ago before the existence of tiny laptops and mobile phones we’ve seen these devices in cartoons and science fiction, we were fully aware of how these tools must be used and how do they operate even before they exist in reality !

I believe  that these media sources was used to educate people indirectly or to make them familiar with what they going to use in the future, For example in several countless 70’s and 80’s cartoons we’ve seen the use of video calls through computers and mobile phones, we’ve seen the use of sensors and most of what is called smart systems.

Back then such things were just science fiction or wild imagination, while for the older generation its just crappy lie’s.

The step usually taken after such movies or cartoon are introduced is to announce couple of years later that scientists are developing some devices that is directly related to what we’ve seen there. and then they introduce it to the public !

Its about every aspect of science not only technology, The reason they are doing it that way is that if the technology was sold in the market once it is developed, people will suffer technological shock and will misuse these devices.

Here is one example:

Remember the sensors and the virtual screen in minority report (2002) ?!

Here it is in 2009 discussed as an invention that might be available soon  !

for different source of information check this report on BBC

Mind blowing isn’t it ?

My generation at least would not find the above so strange ! because they have seen enough in movies 🙂

But what about cloaking ? like in Harry Potter or the invisible man is that possible ?

Scientist in Germany are working on that and I find this mind blowing ! check the full report on ABC

But this, I mean Cloaking if it ever come to reality will be so convenient solution for the staring issues here in Kuwait 😛

Magnificant Italian Armchairs!

Obama Twitter Hacked !

Francois The hacker

A 23 years old French man hacked Barack Obama and Briteny Spears Twitter account, according to sky news the french man quoted “I did not act with a destructive aim… I wanted to warn them, to show up the faults in the system,” he said. “Big companies are no more secure than any internet user. That’s the message I wanted to get across !”

Twitter had a bad experience with hackers as the whole site was hacked earlier this year !

The Noodle House Review

I didn’t heard a lot about The Noodle House since it opened, I always wanted to give it a try but I’ve never had the chance until yesterday when we went there for lunch around 3:00pm. The Noodle House is located on the seafront next to Johny Carino’s restaurant.

The place is cosy and nice, when we walked in I noticed that the restaurant is empty and we were the only cutomers in there, I’ve always linked emptiness of restaurants to poor food but I decided to take the risk this time. Surprisingly the food turned out to be fantastic and the staff was so friendly. I also noticed that there prices are so affordable, as for the 3 appetizers and 3 main courses we had we’ve paid only 19 K.D !

I hope that they open another branch in a shopping mall such as avenues or 360 mall.
